dreamed of being in the movies.
The Mother & Daughter had a very co-dependent
relationship in
high Society & Glamour...

Everything appeared so normal....

Little Eddie was creative
and had dreams of decorating.

Big Edie sits and looks out the window
next to a portrait oil of herself
from healthier & much wealthier days.

  1. Well, wouldn't you know it, we don't get HBO or I would be on this right away!! It sounds like a divine movie. I love the pics and Drew Barrymore looks perfect for Little Eddie. I also love Jessica Lange. This would be a great movie to see...I'll just have to check out the documentary. Don't forget to do a follow-up post about this after it's over...I'll be drooling in the meantime. Sigh

  13. By some crazy oversight, I didn't have you on my blogroll! Thus, I missed this post, and the movie. It certainly serves me right - but the situation has been remedied!

  14. I have owned the documentary for a few years and never made it to the musical. I was so excited to see the movie thursday night. I think Drew and Jessica did an amazing job with their performances. The whole story is a bit surreal and bittersweet and one can't help but be fascinated by these two.
And oh yes, I kept thinking of all that great furniture going to waste!

  15. It has been a long time since I first saw the original documentary. The Docu-Drama was a great reenactment. Both actresses expressed those women graciously. They have no fear.
