Fireworks at the Beach!

I Love this bathing suit from Abaete~
One of my favorite
memories of the
4th of July is....
My mom always bought me
my new summer suit
to wear to the
beach
on this BIG day~

photo from The Paris Apartment

I grabbed my beach bag
and off I went...

I would leave at dawn
because...

I
was chosen to pick
&
save the best spot
to watch the firework show
on this special night!
My day was
!
O
So
Fun

&

full of
Sun
Sand
Ocean
Friends
Hotdogs
Sparklers
Suntan oil
Pickle-o-petes
Sun burned faces
waiting until dark &
Some of my best memories ever!

  2. Happy 4th! Some of my favorite memories are when our whole dang family got together at a park in Pasadena, near my Grandmother and Grandfather's house. My Mom has six brothers and sisters and lot of grandkids. It wasn't really what we did or what we ate, as much as the feeling of community and family. Those were the days. xo

  5. Such a fun post! Love the pics! Well, Leif proposed to me at a 4th of July party 16 years ago!

As a kid I remember my Dad trying to light fireworks in the windy, foggy town of Daly City. Poor kids. It was too cold and windy for them to light up.

    Have a happy 4th!!!!!!

  6. We always went to the lake with our family and spent the entire day skiing, riding jet-skis, eating the blueberry, strawberry, angel food cake trifle, chasing each other with sparklers (when mom wasn't looking!), and chasing fireflies after the fireworks extravaganza! Oh how I love summer holidays!
If okay with you, I'm going to adopt the 'brand-new bathing suit on the 4th' for Gaia's new July tradition - absolutely brilliant!
    Have a spectacular weekend!
