Welcome to The Ice Hotel

I tried to wait until it warmed up to share this
but I am so excited because i just learned
about these Ice Hotels! Yes, they are real and
I never knew... I can't believe it!

This is all real! Ice Hotels!
for all you eskimos
who love snow!

A Grand entry Lobby with a Chandelier
to welcome you!

The Grand Suite ...Not lucite but ICE!!

With an ice chandelier hanging over the bed...

Oh and a cozy corner to curl up and read a book!

Another sitting area....

Maybe you like this Suite better?

Or this one?

Spa treatments are available too....
and some get married here...

They even have boutiques in them...
to buy ice stuff....
Check it out..Hotel de Glace it is in Canada.
Also in Sweeden.

I love the decor, so simple & natural...
but I know it's way too cold for me...
I like to be warm.
But what do you think?
Have YOU ever heard of these ice hotels before?

  1. Oh how pretty! So beautiful to look at but I think I would freeze! Could you imagine sleeping on those beds! Amazing, that is truly art. Great post!

  2. This is amazing! WOW. What parts are real ice? Brrrr.....

  3. Lynn,
It's all real ice..except for those fur blankets! I agree Brrrr... I'd rather be at the Plaza or the Le Meurice or The Paris Hotel Boutique!

  4. This is amazing!!!! I just saw a special on this....

  5. I don't know about sleeping on the cold bed. Although it is gorgeous for some amazing photoshoots.

  6. I have always been fascinated by the Ice Hotel. What an amazing concept and surreal environment. The lighting is exquisite as well. I'd be up to going!

  7. Those are so pretty. The imagination and thought that went into building that hotel is beyond my thoughts. But burrr is right! I would love to walk through there someday!

  8. What Beauty! It's one beauty I am amazed they re-create each year. AMAZING and Soooo BEAUTIFUL!!!

  9. Yes I have. Do you know that they build them each year? They melt, then they re build them for the tourist season. I watched it all happen on a news documentary...going to the toilet looked like fun though...ICE! I love the huge snowflake.

  13. Have just found your blog and love it! I will add you to my blog roll...

  14. I saw this on the Travel channel not to long ago...AMAZING!!!!

  15. Unbelievable! Thanks for posting these pics, I never would believe something like that would exist. I can't imagine sleeping on the ice bed?!

  16. Goodness...what does the bathroom look like?

A friend of mine went to an Ice Bar somewhere in Sweden (or was it Switzerland) some years ago.

  17. I have just discovered your blog! It's so beautiful! I will happily add it to my blog roll.

I am really fascinated by the Ice Hotels, although I agree with you that I like to be warm too much to actually go to one! Also, if you put your cup of tea down, it might melt through a tabletop! That would surely be a terrible faux pas!

Thank you for all the beautiful eye-candy!
