  1. I know! She's MOM? Mom is timeless. A real classic. She loves to give treats and is so fancy that she rings a bell...okay, you know where I'm going with this.

    What's in the pretty box???

  4. Oooh! This is a toughie! The first of my two guesses has already been taken, I also thought of my Mom. I suppose I'll guess the second. Is it Coco Chanel? She is ageless, timeless and glamourous. She is exquisite and refined. and to be honest with you the Camelia on the couture dress from Chanel is not letting me think of anything else, her favorite flower. I'll cross my fingers for that Fanciful flower (that's the real prize)! What a fun game but the suspense is torturing me!!! I'll keep checking back :)

  7. I agree...I think that it is a Mother. Since someone else already guessed that I'm going to try and get the most creative answer...I do believe the song could be about Audrey Hepburn...She transcends generation...I think she's "an essay in glamour" and my 18 year old daughter agrees. Let me tell you, we don't agree on much so that is a BIG deal!

  9. My Guess Sheri', Would be Madame Coco Chanel..
Merci,Merci....She is Ageless, Timeless(opps, I thought, that was Rod Stewart's, ex wife, Britt Elkland!!)
Coco, oh Coco, "There is no time for cut-and-dried monotony. There is time for work. And time for love. That leaves no other time."
    Quote Coco Chanel.........

  10. As we all know, Coco Chanel is the epitome of class and style. She represents what beauty is all about...I've always wanted one of those sweet little Chanel purses.

Could she be "who she is" or is it another class act...Audrey Hepburn.

  11. I can't begin to guess....but the post is gorgeous and those paper flowers are exquisite.
Looks perfect with the Chanel box. It has to be your mom...or it better be! It is Mother's Day coming up. Lovely photos. Especially that skirt!

  13. To me this woman describes my g.mother. She walked and left her imprint on all those she met with her carmine stained lips and a soft cloud of Coco Chanel. My g.mother to this day still carries a handkerchief in her purse, a wears stockings whether at home or out and dusts her face with Poudre de Riz which she has her friends bring her when the fly down to visit. She's the woman who always gives, and all she asks for return is love. That is my g.ma <3

  14. I probably would have chosen your mom or Chanel but to avoid repeating those, I will guess Antoinette Bernstein, who was one of Chanel's first clients and became her close friend.

  15. Hey Dew Drop,
I am loving my blog. I thought it was only appropriate for "Shi Shi" to leave her first comment with you. Contest... drum roll... Is it Vicki Archer from French Essence?

  16. Why, she's ME of course, Darling! She's the woman in my heart, the woman I am, the woman I long to be, the women I admire. The woman we all want to be...Timeless! We would not have lovely women like Coco, Audrey, Grace Kelly or Jackie, without all of them loving who they are and being (without apologies), just that!

  17. My dear Janet,
This could be many fabulous women that are well known. If it is a less well known woman, good for her. The ballet shoes throw me. As many have shared, it could be our Mother or Grandmother. But, I wonder if it's The Paris Apartment, Claudia. She is the author of a fab book most of us own and adore. Umm... I think more research is needed into the ballerina to fill those shoes. So, I'll be back.

  18. I'm still dying to know!!! Janet this is a cruel trick to play on somebody with no patience! Reading the comments is so fun though :) So, in an effort to fortify my chances (if any) I will leave you with my favorite Chanel quotes
~A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous~ and
~How many cares one loses when one decides not to be something but to be someone~

The only thing stumping me are the ballet slippers...making Audrey sound likely! Janet why are you doing this to me!!! :)
    Just kidding! Great idea :)

  20. The words make me think of a song from a Sandra Bullock Movie...
It is Miss United States...she could be a blogger...
    Anyway, that's all I got
