I love natural wood, well actually all woods! I have a friend that found a piece of driftwood at the beach and took it home, cut it and had a custom glass top made for their beach home...it's perfection, much like the photo of the one you featured.

ReplyDeleteYour are a beautiful organic soul inside and out....and I already miss you dearly! We arrived home in the wee hours of this morning, and I must say there is nothing like waking up in your own soft, comfy bed! As I told Noel, the highlight of the trip for us all was meeting both of you! I'm still on cloud 9 from just knowing that my life has been enriched a thousand fold because of you two incredibly special ladies. Sean and I are completely smittened and we cannot wait to see you and Noel again soon (perhaps the first of May!). A more formal note will be on its way, but I am in awe of the perfect gifts bestowed upon us...and truly bewildered how you have copies of Vicki's book! I've been waiting so patiently for this - now I have it and will hold dearly forever. Already read most of it!
Thinking of you so very much and wishing you the most glorious of organic weeks!

As I get older I find I'm drawn to much simpler and clean design. The natural elements I am so fond of. To have a large wood table made out of a single slab is to me a true work of art. I adore this post. Your blog is always such a joy! How fun that you & your daughter got to meet Mel. Sounded like such fun. Your daughters blog is incredible too.
