Christian Dior Meets Fanciful

Did you know....
contacted

I know some of you
already heard this news...
but I want to take this opportunity
to make a
Very Special Tribute
to my daughter
Noel at Fanciful Designs~
because
I AM
So Proud Of Her!!

Noel, known for her detailed eye
and French paper art
mostly in shoes & flowers
was contacted by the head art director
to make samples of flowers for their
new packaging designs~
See her complete story HERE~

She rose to the occasion and delivered.
So this means
I can now share with you
a few of the images
of the actual samples
she sent to
in Paris France~

A rose~

An open rose ~

Detail of the rose~

A dove gray daisy~

Each flower was placed in
it's own separate box~
It was a positively beautiful
presentation!

I told Noel that the
real gift for her is the gift of
recognition
she has been given.
Her art was considered
by one of the most prestigious
&
well known designers
in this world~

The most interesting thing to me is that
Christian Dior, Chanel & Paris

have always been

Noel's greatest inspiration

behind her art...

I never knew her vision was focused so precisely~

CONGRATULATIONS

NOEL!!!

Mauh Mauh Mauh's my Scoop!!!

I LOVE YOU SO MUCH

&

I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!

XO's

French Paper Wigs

A paper artist & teacher, Jeffery Rudell was invited to
do a window display on 5th Ave in New York
for Tiffany & Co.
He visioned elaborate wigs of
Mid-18th Century France
as his focal point~

Instead of powdered hair these wigs are
hand crafted with
Handmade French Paper...
Each one is a sea of rolling curls and
piled a high 36 inches tall!

Jeff's challenge was finding a way to
create volume without weight
to sculpture pieces that look light & airy.

He imagined and created
fanciful shapes like this
violin & harp
to top the curls~
another with a songbird.

Jeffery Rudell was also invited to do
another window for
Tiffany & Co. for Mother's Day
with a theme of
"Queen For A Day"
He made Paper Crowns~~
Photos of Jeffery's work were all taken
by Katherine Knauer.
I could not find a website direct for
Jeffery Rudell.
If anyone knows it please let me know~
