I stumbled upon this antique book store
my last day in Paris last year
at closing time~
This year it is on the top of my list
to go my first day back.
I like to think about who's shelves they once sat~
I don't read in French, but my imagination
speaks the most romantic love stories that took
place in France...
or sometimes maybe a very mysterious history lesson~

Is there anything better that spending an afternoon in an old bookshop? We had a lovely one in our downtown, complete with comfy wing-back chairs, tables, and even a shop kitty to purr his hello to you when you entered. Unfortunely, like so many Mom and Pop shops, they were unable to stay open. At least I was able to enjoy your wonderful photos.

PS-If you'd like, stop by my blog to see a recent post I did on "book love!" I'd be honored.
It looks amazing! I've never been to that store! I'm going to Paris again in two weeks so I will definitely look for it! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLove quaint book stores, the new and improved mega book stores, may have cappuccino's but they are short of ambiance and actually good books to read. and of course you probably have been to Shakespeare and Company store that the wonderful Sylvia Beach ran at 12 rue de l'Odeon, where the young Ernest Hemingway
ReplyDeletehelped put it on the world map.
