N Is For Noel

We celebrated my Noel on Friday afternoon!
All her girlfriends from her entire life and her favorite cousin gathered in the late afternoon at a small cafe called Zinc for some wine & appetizers.
Later the girls celebrated her last night out as a single little lady...
Before she marries the man that she loves~

Her sister & I filled white crepe paper nut cups with champagne bubble gumdrops, white dutch mints, a white rose clip for their hair & a dress up silver engagement ring for all the girls to wear!

Everyone took home their own mason jar with a fresh white rose!
It was fun to wrap for my beautiful bride to be...
with silky blush & white satin ribbons!
I have to share her Amazing smile with you...
Look how happy she is when she opened a gift from one of my sweetest friends Amydoll!
A vintage Hotel Del Coronado porcelain water pitcher!
Gold & White!
She is getting married on the sand at the Hotel Del~
Amy also sent her an old candle votive from a church in France with a vintage candle inside with the French writing on it.  Here she was explaining to everyone what exactly was making her beam & glow so...
 shhhhhhhhh...
{even more than the very pretty lacy lingerie her girlfriends picked out so carefully}

That's my girl...
I thought to myself proudly as her friends listened and looked on with so much intrigue but still were wondering her secret to make her smile So Big!
What is it about a special vintage piece that touches one like nothing else?
Or
do you think it is because someone sees You, loves You & really gets You and does something
Just To See You Smile This Big?
Or
Was it because all of us who love her, who could be here, gathered around to celebrate her?
I think it was all of the above~

I give you all my love this week my darling friends!
What vintage present would make you smile this BIG?

XO

  8. Dear Mom,

The most beautiful person in the world~ This was a day that I'll never forget. Every effort, every detail, every smile, and every decoration was beyond words and more than perfect in every way. I've dreamt of my wedding shower since I was a little girl and you made all those dreams come true. Having your beaming self there to greet my friends and support me means the world to me. You shine like a diamond and are so beautiful, mom. I love you more than you know. This day was a day that I'll hold on to forever and ever, and one day tell my kids how special you and Jeanna made it for me.

    I love you~
    Noel

  15. Oh what a beautiful, wonderful life! I have been so busy these past few weeks getting Alexandra ready to leave for college for the first time..she sent me a text and told me how utterly lovely the wedding invitations are..I just had a free still moment last evening to blog on, and everything took my breath away, and I finally allowed myself to cry since she left..why, because I understand everything you have so put into words when it comes to your Noel..the coincidence also of Zinc, as that is where Alexandra and I have our mother/daughter lunches in Solana Beach, and then the post on tea..I just sent her a care package of hand selected blends from a little lovely shop in Old Town Temecula called the Spice Merchant, she loves tea, 3 times a day...I had to text her back so she could see your newer posts..my sincere angel dove Alexandra, while others in college are looking for the party or searching on the internet for a place to go clubbing,my Alexandra is looking for where she can buy real "french" macarons in Santa Barbara (she is at Westmont)and was truly excited when she found some! I thank you for sharing..today I made her a cd of your playlist so she can listen to it while she has her evening tea and winding down...I am not sure how my heart will grow accustomed to this change...I know she needs her wings, but I need them too.......
